Cookie policy

What is a cookie?

Cookies are files that are downloaded to the user’s terminal (computer/smartphone, tablet) when accessing certain web pages, and stored in its memory. Thanks to cookies it is possible, among other things, to store and recover information about the browsing habits of users or their computer, see the pages that have been visited and the duration of connection, or analyse the functioning of a web page, whether there are technical problems, etc. Depending on the information they contain and on how the terminal used, they may be used to identify the User.

What types of cookies are there?

Based on how long they remain in a computer, cookies can be classified into “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”. Session cookies disappear from the User’s computer when the User leaves the website or closes the browser. They are normally stored in the cache memory of the computer. On the other hand, persistent cookies are stored permanently or for long periods of time in the hard drive of the User’s computer, so that the website Grupo Asís that uses cookies can read them every time the User visits the website again. The expiry date of this type of cookies is determined by the website that uses them.

What is a cookie for?

Cookies are pieces of data sent by a server and stored in the User’s web browser. Cookies can then be used to identify the User in subsequent visits to a website. Their purpose is to keep a record of the User’s visit and some information.

Cookies are used to be able to offer you tailored services and/or advertisements, analyse the functioning of the system, identify you when you log in as a user, locate any errors and problems that may arise and solve them in the shortest possible time, as well as to analyse and measure the use of and browsing activity on the website.

Is my consent necessary to enable a cookie?

No previous consent is necessary to install performance cookies, or cookies that are strictly necessary to provide an information society service that has expressly been required by the User.

The User’s consent is necessary for any other type of cookies, and can be required in different ways. In the case of Grupo Asís Biomedia, your consent is given by browsing the website, although you may revoke your consent and disable cookies at any time.

What cookies does Grupo Asís Biomedia currently use?

We use some types of cookies that are strictly necessary for the correct functioning of our websites. This category of cookies includes those that allow web servers to establish whether you have logged in or not in the system, to respond to actions provided your session is valid, or to set the language of the web page depending on your location. As a consequence, if you do not allow these cookies to be downloaded to your web browser, you will not be able to access some of the services provided by our website.

Furthermore, we use the Google Analytics Cookie, which carries out statistical analyses. We use this cookie to control and evaluate the use of our web page (such as the web browser used, the amount of visitors and the response to marketing campaigns). This helps us to assess any improvement made in our website.

We would like to emphasise that this cookie does not contain any information that identifies you personally. However, you can choose to disable the Google Analytics Cookie. Alternatively, nearly all the web browsers (InternetExplorer, Firefox, Google Chorme, Safari, etc.) allow you to change the settings to block or delete cookies. As previously mentioned, if you disable all the cookies on a website, some of its functions will not work properly.

Our website uses the following cookies (Name/Purpose):

– Session: to store data input by the User on the website.

– Social network “plug in”: to allow the User to share contents with members of a social network

– Google Analytics: to carry out statistical analyses of the use of the website. We use cookies to know whether our visitors are recurrent and which contents are considered most interesting. How can I disable cookies?

Most web browsers indicate how their settings can be modified to block cookies, to be notified every time a new cookie is received or to disable them completely. In order to control how your information is used, you can modify your web browser’s settings to choose the options that suit you best.

In any case, we would like you to be aware that if performance and/or functionality cookies are disabled, the quality of the website may be reduced or it may require more time to identify you.
